- Getting outside and being active is very important to help reduce the risk of heart disease. AHA recommends adults get at least 150 minutes of physical moderate activity per week or 70 vigorous minutes. Finding it hard to meet those minutes. Break down your physical activity of 30 mins. per day, to 15 mins 2 times a day to make it more manageable.
